I am excited to share another branding photo shoot with the Franklin Sports team. This time we featured the new Franklin 9000 Beach Game Volleyball designed with the help of decorated Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings.
I was fortunate to have the Franklin Sports creative and partnerships team on-site for this shoot. This helped for immediate feedback and sped up the creativity.

We started the shoot in the early morning capturing various product shots and combinations.
We shot on location at Sports Edge Beach in Jacksonville, Florida. I was very fortunate to work again with Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings on this shoot. I last shot with her in January 2021 for her debut with Franklin Sports.
The team behind the shot.
platform 1440 or p1440 was started by Kerri Walsh Jennings and Casey Jennings to provide beach volleyball opportunities for youth. A program within the organization called Fab50 brings together the top youth volleyball athletes to further advance their skills and impact.
The Fab50 group was on-site to train and I was tasked with creating images of those athletes in action.
We started by grabbing 3 individual athletes and shooting individually with each.
The PFa50 athletes had a practice while we were shooting. I stopped by to get more action using the new volleyballs.
The true fun happens behind the scenes and in between takes. Here’s a few BTS photos with the crew from Franklin Sports, Zach Read from Rhyme and Reason Films and myself.
A huge shoutout to the Franklin Sports Creative Team including Drew Gundlach for his unwavering trust to create content and Mickey Howard for his inspiration and preparation prior to shooting. I can't wait to see how the images are used.
I love working alongside Zach Read as he creates the video content. We bounce ideas off each other.
Also a big thanks to my photo assistant and grip Jesse Gann from Jesse Gann Photography for all the assistance and help and trips back to the truck.
