Welcome Back, Chloe!

I am excited to bring back fitness model, Chloe Newton. We worked together back in February 2018 for an outdoor fitness session. I reached out to Chloe for help testing out my brand new Profoto gear in my studio.

We decided to try few new outfits and use a black background for a different effect.

The Gear

Here is the gear I used for the shoot:

Camera Gear: Canon 1D-X Mark II, Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS II, Lexar 32GB Memory Cards, Hoodman HoodEYE Eye Cup, and Tiffen UV filters
Lighting: Profoto D2, Profoto B1X, Profoto RFi 3ft Octabox, Profoto OCF Color Gel Kit, Savage seamless black backdrop

Lifestyle

For these shots, I used a single Profoto D1 with a 3ft RFi Octabox producing beautiful soft light.

Chloe chose a nice lifestyle outfit: lace top and jean shorts.

Fitness

Chloe chose a vibrant Nike Pro fitness outfit. This was the perfect opportunity to match color of light to her outfit. The dominant color of her shorts was pink/red and chose the Profoto OCF Rose gel. Switching gels was a breeze too!

The results were amazing! I wish I had used more colored light in previous shoots.

Bikini

Chloe happened to bring a brightly colored bikini with her and this allowed me another opportunity to match color to outfit. I chose the blue gel and it created a nice glow around Chloe.

Calvin Klein

I have been dying to shoot a Calvin Klein look on a black backdrop and Chloe fortunately brought the outfit with her. I converted a couple of the shots below to black and white for comparison but I truly love the blue highlights better.

I want to thank Chloe for her time and talent on this shoot. We were able to try a bunch of different looks using colored light. The results were phenomenal!
