#PhotoGrind 2019

#PhotoGrind is our yearly photo event working with very special clients. It's a ton of diverse shoots in a very short amount of time. This year we shot in Miami and Los Angeles.

Here's the gear we used for this session:

Camera Gear: Canon 1D-X Mark II, Canon 85mm f1.4L IS, Lexar 32GB Memory Cards, Hoodman HoodEYE Eye Cup, and Tiffen UV filters
Lighting Gear: Natural/Available light
Locations: University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) Campus in Los Angeles, California

Introducing Kacy

Kacy Swain is a former UCLA women's basketball athlete and Special Events Coordinator & Project Manager at Blue Elan Records in LA. Paulina Hersler (see her story here), our good friend and client, introduced us to Kacy and helped us setup a shoot during #PhotoGrind 2019.

Outfit #1

We started in a casual lifestyle outfit on the lawn near the Janss Steps on the UCLA Campus. We had really great weather including a start to a beautiful sunset.

We found a stairway with beautiful brick and use the beautiful ambient light to create some great shots.

Stairs

We continued our walk through the UCLA campus and found a set of stairs with some great soft light.

Drake Stadium

We moved across campus to Drake Stadium where the UCLA Track & Field team prepares.

Kacy switched into a Nike fitness outfit. She started in a white Nike jacket. We created some really great classic looks.

Janss Steps

We returned to the famous UCLA Janss Steps to finish out our shoot. We were able to get a few action shots and towering poses.

Royce Hall

Our final stop of the session was the outdoor hallway of Royce Hall. As we researched the locations for the shoot, Royce Hall was used for many famous movies and photos. It definitely did not disappoint and Kacy rocked a few looks.
