Meet Kim

We traveled to Miami to meet our newest client, Kim DeKrey, a CrossFit athlete from Tampa and former member of FIU Track & Field. She was competing at the 2019 Wodapalooza CrossFit Festival at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami.

We recently switched to Profoto lights and were very excited to try them. We connected with Kim and chose the Riverwalk location near Bayfront Park so we could shoot in between her Wodapalooza events. From the Miami River to beautiful light, we had a great time.

Riverwalk

We kicked off the session starting at the west end of the Riverwalk area. The Miami River and downtown skyline creates a beautiful background for our images.

River Swim

There were a few intriguing stairs every few feet down the Riverwalk that lead to the Miami River. They're a little out of place with all the luxury yachts passing by. The images from this section turned out really great!

Tiled Walls

As we move down the Riverwalk there are various art installations. We came across some beautiful tiled walls which created a beautiful backdrop.

We left Riverwalk and headed towards the Chopin Plaza

A Wall

Sometimes the most ordinary items turn into something really special. This was the case with a random wall that we found that was in the perfect light.
