Meet Lauren

Lauren Embree is an AFPA certified Holistic Nutritionist and health & wellness coach, fitness junkie, and gluten & dairy-free foodie. She's also a former professional tennis player, 2x National Champion for the Florida Gators, and current Florida Gators Women's Tennis assistant coach.

Lauren recently launched her new website, Lo-Fitt.com, as a way to expand her health and wellness business. I reached out and partnered with her to create new images to help tell her story and enhance her website and social media presence.

The Gear

For this shoot, I wanted portable power to help with a bright sun. Here's what I used:

Cameras: Canon 1D-X Mark II
Lenses: Canon 85mm f1.4L IS, Canon 24-70mm f2.8L III
Gear: Lexar 32GB Memory Cards/Readers, Tiffen UV filters, Hoodman eyecups
Grip and Support: Peak Design Slide Lite camera straps
Lighting: Profoto A1X and Profoto B1X with the Profoto OCF Beauty Dish

Depot Park - Outfit #1

Lauren and I started in Depot Park near downtown Gainesville. I started shooting slightly past high noon so I need to have enough power to control the sun. I pulled out the ultra portable Profoto A1X.

Lauren chose a very bright pink Lululemon outfit that was just perfect for the location.

Outfit #2

I moved to another location of Depot Park near the old railroad tracks and new playground. I started with a classic shot with the rings then moved over to the railroad tracks.

Lauren switched into a fun Nike Pro outfit.

Outfit #3

We left Depot Park and moved to a vacant parking lot near municipal buildings. This provided enough of an industrial look for some great backgrounds. I switched from the Profoto A1X to the B1X with an OCF softbox.

Lauren kept pulling out amazing Nike outfits.

Moving to the adjacent street, I had Lauren change into a few fitleisure outfits to create a new look. These came out great and is a nice change from full fitness.
