Welcome to my 6th year working with Florida Gators Women's Basketball and the Gators marketing team creating fun and unique lifestyle athlete portraits for their marketing and recruiting efforts.

This is the second year the Gators "media day experience" they call WBK Live or #WBKLive22. This was an all-day event with studio portraits and on-court video production. I was fortunate to be a part of the photo team and this year shot on blue and black backgrounds.

Past Media Day Experiences

The Setups

We loaded in prior to the shoot. Big shout out to my assistant Jesse Gann and all the Gators Creative students for the help.

I used Profoto B1X and D2 strobes (8 total) with Westcott RapidBox modifiers to create three different looks for the Gators this year.

The first setup was the main setup using an orange seamless backdrop and 6 Profoto D2 strobes with two 2x4, two 1x4, and two backdrop modifiers. I ran this station.

The second setup used one Profoto B1X strobe with a 2x3 modifier. We found the room had blue LED lights in the ceiling and used that for a cool effect.

This was mainly run by the Gator Creative students.

The third setup also used one Profoto B1X and a 2x3 modifier. We positioned it far from the back wall to give it a complete black background.

It's truly been an honor working with the Florida Gators Women's Basketball team especially Coach Kelly Finley and her team. I've created a ton of great unique content for their social and recruiting efforts over these last 7+ seasons. Looking forward to next year!
